On Wellness Wednesday and everyday for that matter, I wish you well with knowledge of the beauty and benefits of a fresh juice.
Last week I mentioned my fondness over juicers made by Omega. Now while you can find juicers that may seem less expensive at the point of purchase, I promise you that none of them carry the 10 year warranty you’ll find on Omega Juicer. Even Breville juicers—you know, the brand used by the guy who did the movie, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, are priced at the same point as Omega but only include a one year LIMITED warranty! In fact, log on to their website and compare for yourself Breville’s one year warranty versus Omega Juicers’ 10-15 year warranty.
Even better than me telling you about a warranty on a product is your actual  experience. For example, on Omega’s site, listed under “Juicers,” you’ll find various types of juicers, the most common of which are the Centrifugal and Pulp Ejector styles. They spin the juice out of fruit and vegetables very fast. And like the Centrifugal type, Omega’s Pulp Ejector juicers can take whole fruits and veggies due to the large feeding mouth. But you aint seen nothing until you try Omega’s Masticating category of juicers. Unlike the Centrifugal and Pulp Ejector styles, the Masticating juicer (which was featured on CBS and Dr. Oz) crushes fruits and vegetables at a much slower speed. It can even effectively juice wheat grass and other greens. Best of all, though, if like me you don’t have a lot of time to spend juicing every morning, with Omega’s Masticating style of juicers, which because of their slower speed do not add tons of oxygen to the batch, juice stays fresh for up to 2-3 days. Even better is that your juice will not have the preservatives like the the fresh squeezed juice on the shelves in stores.
As a further  option for those who claim to have absolutely no time to juice and the 10 minute clean-up that follows, I met a really cool kat in Atlanta named Ladell Hill who makes a raw juice product called “Chuice.” As soon as his then publicist (Carrie) told me about it,  I got it!  Immediately, I thought of Dr Christopher, whose blood cleansing and blood purification fast required drinking raw apple juice throughout the day. But you had to “chew the juice,” in order for the body to secrete the necessary enzymes to digest the sugar from the apples.
Aside from Hill’s good looks, he is defined (in his career) as a molecular health specialist and fitness trainer who believes in pushing the body to new heights. He and his products have caught the attention of lots of luminaries including CNN’s Dr, Sunjay Gupta and comedian/host/author, Steve Harvey.
Hill told me he created Chuice, which comes in two variations: The Forest Chuice–a green blend charged with the task to cleanse internal organs, and The River of Life Chuice–a red in color juice that balances the blood’s pH level. He says each variety is made fresh daily from more than 45 fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and seeds including tons of proteolytic and fibrinolytic enzymes to aid in heightening the body’s digestive and immune systems.
“When we are young, the body can produce the enzymes it needs. But between the ages of 27 and 35, our enzyme levels begin to drop or even plummet. If the enzymes are not replaced, problems with digestion, illnesses and premature aging can begin,” explains Hill.
“The best way to replace enzymes is through the food we consume. With most food being processed or cooked, the enzymes are lost. A wide variety of natural raw foods will put back what the body can no longer produce,” is Hill’s testament after what he reports as 20 years of research and experimentation it took to create Chuice.

Most importantly, be mindful of your personal wellness. Your body will almost always give you signs to tell you what’s going on inside. The choice to listen is always yours.
Lastly, remember what the elders have always said: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!”
